It all began in 2015 with a small studio in Osnabrück. Christine Gruber and Jakob Mack recognized that traditional learning formats often bypass creativity. They developed an initial workshop concept based on playful experimentation and independent discovery. The response was overwhelming – within a year, the number of participants doubled. In 2017, they moved to larger premises and hired the first permanent team. With each workshop, not only the community grew, but also the understanding of how informal learning fosters real skills.

The breakthrough came in 2019 with the introduction of the "KreativLab" format, which combined open workshops with structured modules. Companies like Stadtwerke Osnabrück booked customized team development programs. The pandemic forced us to undergo a radical digitalization in 2020 – within three weeks, virtual workshop spaces were created that are still in use today. Today, KreativWorks counts over 5,000 participants annually and collaborates with educational institutions throughout Lower Saxony. Our goal remains: to make creativity accessible as a driver for lifelong learning.
